About Me

Brief Biography

Dong Zhou received his MSc degree in information processing in Department of Computer Science of University of York in UK. He was awarded a PHD scholarship from University of Nottingham and received his PHD degree in Computer Science for the research on automatic hyperlink authoring and cross-language information retrieval. He identified a generalized technique named Emergent Graph Analysis and successfully applied it to both research areas. He used to work as a research fellow in Knowledge and Data Engineering Group at School of Computer Science and Statistics in Trinity College Dublin and Center for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL). He is currently working in School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) in Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST).

Research Interests

Dong Zhou's primary research interests include information retrieval, natural language processing, social media and social computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning. His current research focuses on developing novel models/systems for multilingual information access. The specific research goals are to investigate leveraging adaptive hypermedia techniques to enhance multilingual information access and searching experience in order to provide personalized information to fulfil individual requirements.
